Attacked on Set review

I set my expectations low from just watching the trailer of Tom Novell's 2012 American comedy horror Attacked on Set, but I never expected the film to be even more disappointing than I originally thought it would be. From awful acting to extremely low budget props, this 'comedy horror' seems to mock the genre of classic slasher films. Although the killer with his skin mask will remind you of Leatherface, his kills are somewhat lacking in the gore and sound effect department. Any gore fan enjoys an on screen kill, but unfortunately you won't be getting that action during the hour.

What a lot of people love about a comedy horror is the tension and somewhat funny content that makes the film easier to watch; again however there was no comedy involved, it became more cringe worthy due to the amount of sex and drugs used within the first ten minutes of the film; with an example of the producer being given a blowjob and then having his semen being spat back into his own mouth. For a while I asked myself whether it was suppose to be that bad or whether it was intentional; to have no real story line and extremely poor communication skills between the actors was the real comedy throughout the film, but there was still no laughter heard.

With a puppet parrot making a useless appearance from start to end, to the use of many consuming cocaine and wearing bad wigs; Attacked on Set will be an hour of your time wasted. The only thing you might enjoy from this movie is the great soundtrack, people singing in French is definitely a better way of not seeing someone getting killed while they are completely naked. Novell may want to change the genre to 'horrible comedy' for any future reference.
